fare thee well, fare thee well, we love you more than words can tell...

Mike's Dream

Get 'Er Done!

Mike planned to continue his lawsuit against the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport and collect his $10.9 million dollar settlement in full. He also planned to keep pursuing his case against Chaminade College Preparatory School in St. Louis, MO, the priests who sexually abused him as a teenager in the 1970's while at the school, Father William Christensen and Brother John J. Woulfe, and the Marianist Province of the United States. Mike also vowed to get the name of Toth Park in Easton, CT changed.

Mike dreamed of using his settlements to start a foundation for a music camp for kids that were the victims of sexual abuse. Mike always said that music saved his life and continually helped him to heal from the pain of his childhood. Music also helped him find peace in the face of the brain tumor that he knew would someday end his life. Music was Mike, and Mike was Music.

After his brain tumor diagnosis in 2000 and his subsequent recollection of the repressed memories of years of molestation, Mike dedicated the rest of his days to fighting for justice for the current and past victims of sexual abuse. Even through all his pain, he used his voice to speak out when so many victims still cannot. He was determined to expose the "pillars of society" predators that hide in organizations such as the catholic church (and other churches), boy scouts, and other "at-risk" youth charities and use it as cover for sexually abusing children.
